Massages, Marathon Runners and Yellow Mustard ?

So your a RUNNER? Do you enjoy running marathon races? I’m sure you do and you know the importance of a Pre and Post Massage! Massages feel GREAT! 😁

Massages will help not only your recovery time BUT reduce your soreness as well. The major benefit of a massage is that it will relax your tense muscles from ALL that running ! Yes MASSAGES should be a part of any runners training program!

Hmm I also learned of an easy tip to utilize on race day! It seems that particularly on race day that runners encounter more cramps! Did you know that? Well you can carry packets of yellow mustard with you. Eat them as they are a rich source of minerals … they provide calcium , magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. As well ss this they are a good dietary source of folate and vitamin A ! Who knew RIGHT?! 🤔 It also should be worth mentioning that you eat the mustard and DON’T rub it on your skin. 🤣

Massage Questions?

Ok commonly asked massage questions to help you out. DON’T be shy or ashamed to ask your questions before your massage! If you want to know something PLEASE SPEAK UP!🤗

1. Do you need to be naked for your massage session?

Undress to your comfort level. You will be between two sheets covered. Most people undress totally. If you want your butt massages it helps! Some people leave on their underwear.

2. What to do before your massage session?

Please have a shower to help you relax better. It helps the massage therapist and you! We don’t want to smell body odors. Thankyou! 😊

3. What do you do during your massage session?

Absolutely nothing! This is your time to RELAX! If we need to move any of your limbs we will.. . Please DON’T try to help us! Thank you!

4. My therapist is massaging to light or too deep.. what to do ?

Please just tell your therapist! We will not be offended ! It’s your time and money! We will adjust the pressure to your liking.

5. How long to book a massage session ?

Again totally up to you. A 1 hour session typically gets an area worked on your body or one side… front or back. If you need an overhaul I highly suggest 90 minutes . Most athletes or men usually take 2 hours for a very thorough massage .

6. How Often should I get A Massage?

Again up to you. Once your therapist does your massage session they will make recommendations. If your in pain it may be once or twice a week. If your stressed out once a week or bi-weekly. I highly suggest once a monthly for maintenance depending on your situation .

7. I have to Pee but don’t know what to do ?

Please tell your therapist and go to the bathroom. Don’t hold it in! It will make it very uncomfortable for you! You won’t be able to enjoy your massage holding it in.

8. Can I talk during my massage session?

This again totally up to you! It’s not mandatory. Most people just are quiet and enjoy their massage.

9. For Men… what IF you get an erection?

No problem! Totally normally as your body is relaxing. Just keep in mind your massage is therapeutic and NOTHING else! DON’T ASK for ” HAPPY ENDINGS! ” Your session will immediately be ended! Yes you will pay full price!

10. DO I TIP ?

It’s not mandatory but very much appreciated by your massage therapist. Normally 15 to 20 % gratuity.

Are You A Hairdresser ?

A Hairdresser job is NEVER done! They don’t even realize the strain they put on their neck and shoulders … not to mention ALL the pain they will get in their wrists and forearms. Standing for hours on end while your arms are up in the air doing repetitive motions can cause ALOT of PAIN and ACHES! 🤔

Hairdressers are known for having neck and shoulder pain ALOT! It’s a known fact that over 2/3 of the hairdressers also have back pain! They deal with too much muscle tension and locking on their joints of the spine. 😣

If your dealing with aches and pains a massage can certainly help! Not TO mention you are dealing with ALOT of STRESS listening to your clients laying their problems on YOU! It just takes a toll on your body! You need to incorporate regular massages to help you ! It is so worth having your pain alleviated and getting relaxed! It gets rid of that built up tension through massages! 😊

Migraines Migraines Migraines

Do you have “Migraines?” You know you do IF you experience a throbbing pain on just one side of your head. Migraine headaches are severe and will even make you nauseated and puke. 😣
