You have a problem… a knot , a pain, excruciating tightness in areas … so now you lay on a massage table. You want to ditch this pain and the tension so you finally give into a massage. Now what? 🤔 Your mind is racing and as the Massage therapist touches you then you start talking blurting out personal stuff. Things like your having an affair, your getting a divorce, your kid is on drugs, etc… you get the gist. So your lying on the table for an hour , 90 minutes or two hours and without realizing it you need an emotional release. You somehow got connected with your massage therapist and you just talk. You tell him or her things you normally wouldn’t tell someone else. I get it you are in a state that you are connected through Massage and it takes you to another level you haven’t ever experienced. As a massage therapists we connect with mind, body and spirit however we are NOT trained psychiatrists to give you advice. I can sympathize with you but I can’t give you the answers to your questions. It’s in your best interest to seek out a Professional who is.

Massage is loving and nurturing. It takes you into a whole new world. It’s healing. Massage is meant to talk about things related to massage. People view massage therapists like a hairdresser or a bartender. They just unload like we are their personal therapist. I suppose they get real comfortable with us at a point that they just reveal things they need to. Sometimes it’s healing for people to just let go and say what’s on their mind and it’s ok . We are here to help you and not judge you. But please DON’T get offended with us when we tell you that we can’t give you the solutions to your problems. We are here to massage you through touch .

IF you are sick with a flu virus or cold please be responsible enough to tell your Massage Therapist. There’s been tons of people sick in the Nashville area with a flu virus or colds. 😲 People who are sick PLEASE STAY HOME! Stop spreading the flu virus around when you are contagious! Let me break it down for you! Seems some people DON’T know how to tell! I certainly DON’T want to catch it from you! Ok so read to see if this is YOU ! Here are your clues! Listen up! Please for the LOVE OF GOD DON’T call for a massage! It WON’T help you But spread the virus faster in your body and infect your Massage PROFESSIONAL.

Do you have a FEVER? Fevers are created to help you fight infections in your body. DEFINITELY NOT OK FOR A MASSAGE! 😩

FYI the flu comes on suddenly and can last 7 plus days.. it varies from person to person. If you have body aches, sneezing, body hot and cold temp flareups, YOU ARE STILL CONTAGIOUS! 😲 Yep just like if you got a cold… the first few days you are still CONTAGIOUS! Please DON’T spread it by actually thinking a massage will help you! Please be a sweetie and be honest with your Massage person . We can’t afford to get sick and take time off from work! We DON’T get paid to lay in bed home sick not being able to massage ! I’m being 💯 telling the truth! So IF this is YOU kindly stay home and get better first! You can of course call and schedule a massage once your better! 😊

So let’s recap … IF you have a FEVER or COLD please DON’T call for a MASSAGE appointment! You be surprised how many people will! I DIGRESS! 😣 We as licensed massage therapists know the signs. We can tell if your sick or not. Please be courteous and DON’T waste our time when your sick THANKYOU! 😁

More and more people are catching onto the Massage trend… and it’s no wonder why! Massage is the BEST thing God ever created period! Have you ever had your butt massaged? You know the glutes? 😁

I know alot of spas and MASSAGE places won’t touch the glute areas except a bit over the sheet! They are afraid the client is looking for something inappropriate so they stay away from that area of the butt. It’s sad really because if you have pain in the butt or low back pain a glute massage needs to be incorporated to loosen up the tight MUSCLE areas.

I personally ask every client if they ever had their glutes massaged. I ask beforehand prior to beginning their session . Depending on each circumstance I’ll explain to every individual client why they need it . THINK about how long you sit all day at that office job… the muscles are tight and screaming at you ” I’M IN PAIN !” 😥

A real seasoned Licensed Massage Therapist will have common sense and knowledge to know whether it’s helpful to you or not to get your glutes massaged! I’m telling you that massaging the glute areas is a MUST! It feels so darn good!!! 😁

Did you know that IF the glute areas are tight and shooting PAIN that it also refers pain into the lumbar area of your spine? This is why you feel that killing pain in your back! Once the glute areas are addressed the muscles release and the PAIN from back and back are GONE ! Whew RELIEF! NOW who doesn’t want that ??? 🤔

You need to be specific when you talk to a massage therapist and point blank ask them… Will you massage my glutes? I have pain here and here and here.. point to the areas! If a Massage therapist refuses to work out those areas LEAVE! Find a proper Massage Therapist who will! I guarantee you that we are out there and you won’t regret it! DON’T walk away again being disappointed! I know the feeling.. been there too!😯

Here’s hoping you find a Great MASSAGE therapist to massage your glutes! No pun intended just REAL talk from the Massage Table! 😄

To talk or not to talk during your massage session? 🤔As licensed massage therapists we want people to truly enjoy their Massage experience. We feel that you pay good money to Relax and Get out of pain right?! There’s nothing worse than a ” Chatty Cathy ” while you are getting a massage! 😣 We will ask clients questions before your massage . We want you to enjoy your massage ! Sometimes verbal dialogue is necessary during a massage. BUT there’s always time to for it to be quiet. Clients pay good money to Relax and not hear a massage therapist’s mouth rattle on for 60, 90 , or 2 hours. Yes believe it or not I have heard many clients tell me how some Massage therapists won’t “ Shutup”during their massage session. 😫 OK voice your opinion … afterall it’s YOUR time!

Listen people it’s time and it’s valuable and ALL about YOU! 😁 Express your thoughts to your massage therapist if this is an ongoing problem. We as licensed massage therapists are here to listen and help you get the best massage possible!! Of course we are NOT professional counselors! That is beyond our scope of practice! Wewill NOT take offense if you say you don’t want to talk. I feel it’s in your best interest to say what’s on your mind… so speak it! Like I said initial questions are asked before your massage session and maybe after your done. In between should be quiet time unless pain shows up… Ok ENJOY your massage !

Yes baby it’s COLD outside! Cold weather, Pain in your joints , massage therapy and hot chocolate go together right?! 😅 Yep the COLD BRRR weather just hit Nashville! Tonight 27 degrees !❄ Snow a possibility by monday or Tuesday. ☃️Also the aches and pains come with the flu virus. Ya not so much FUN! I’m staying in drinking Hot Chocolate and writing this blog. 😁

So somehow when the cold settles in so does the aches and pains in the body. There is a number of studies out there that prove that when the cold weather hits so does the pain in your body. Doctor’s point out that the cold weather has a shrinking effect on tissues. This in turn pulls on your nerves and creates PAIN. This causes our joints discomfort and stiffness. Ouch! Definitely NOT the best feeling in the world! 😩

Did you know that massage can help alleviate the pain brought on by these cold temperatures? Painful conditions such as migraine headaches, arthritis, neuropathy, and fibromyalgia are often worsened by this cold weather. ❄⛄🤤

Have you even thought about a MASSAGE? 🤔

Yes Baby Its COLD outside so stay in your warm place! Getting a nice mobile massage to your door would be GREAT! Do you have a fireplace? Even better! Get a massage in front of the warm crackling fire 🔥🔥🔥

Well this always seems to AMAZE me how bold and how stupid some men ACTUALLY ARE! I can’t believe you think us women who are Licensed Massage Therapists owe you a “ Happy Ending! “ I mean seriously where do you get this from? 🤔

We study hard to become Licensed Massage Therapists! NO where in the school curriculum do they teach us about “HAPPY ENDINGS! ” We as therapists DON’T owe you one after your massage session ! YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO ONE from us! Please stop asking us! You are only embarrassing yourself! 😣

We as female and male therapists will NOT risk losing our state license for you! You got to be kidding! It violates our ethic pledges of our profession. Massage Therapist Does NOT = Prostitution! PERIOD! IF you are stupid enough to ask your massage session will be terminated IMMEDIATELY! This means NO MORE future massages for you from us! Oh and you are still paying for your massage session as well . You seriously DON’T want us to call the police ! YES seriously we will! 😒

So In summary A licensed Massage Therapist provides therapeutic massages ONLY! IF you are looking for more LOOK elsewhere! 😣 Get a girlfriend or wife!
